The Virginia Tech Libraries are pleased to announce a new faculty incentive program – Open Education Initiative Faculty Grants – to encourage the use of existing and creation of new information resources to support our students’ learning. This effort supports faculty who are interested in pursuing non-traditional open education resources and new forms of digital scholarship as alternatives to traditional textbooks and homework software access codes. This effort also supports faculty who are interested in further sharing their original works as open educational resources as part of the university’s land grant mission.
Virginia Tech faculty are invited to apply to a competitive grant process that will award up to $3,000 to up to five teaching faculty who submit successful proposals outlining efforts to adopt a new curricular resource strategy.
